Семеновская крепость




Построена в 1698 в устье реки Миус, первоначально называлась «Миюс», впоследствии переименована в Семеновскую. Крепость имела форму неправильного многоугольника с четырьмя бастионами и двумя полубастионами, с одними тами, защищенными со стороны степи полубастином. Высота земляного вала 3,5 м, ширина 6 м, глубина 2 м. Площадь 600x500 м. В 1699 в гарнизоне было 421 копейщиков, рейтар и солдат. В конце 1699 в крепости поселили казаков, которые несли дозор и досматривали проходившие купеческие суда. В результате заключения Прутского договора в 1711 крепость была частично разрушена.
