Khalkiope, Yunan mitolojisinde Kolheti Kralı Aietes'in kızı. Güneş soylu olduğu için gözleri açık renkli ve parlaktır. Annesi bir Okeanid ve aynı zamanda Bilgelik Tanrıçası olan Kraliçe Eidyia'dır. Kolkhisli Büyü Tanrıçası Kirke'nin yeğeni, mitolojinin en ünlü karakterlerinden Medeia ve Aigialeus'un(Absyrtos) kardeşidir. Eşi Bulut Tanrıçası Nephele'nin oğlu Phriksos'tur.


Eşi Phriksos ile tanışması Phriksos'un Kolkhis'e sığınmasıyla başlar. Boeotia halkı uzun süren kıtlıktan sonra Helle ile Phriksos'u tanrılara kurban etmek isteyince anneleri Bulut Tanrıçası buna müsaade etmez. Oraya uçan bir koç gönderir ve çocuklarını kaçırarak kimsenin erişemeyeceği diyar Kolkhis'e ulaştırır, fakat sadece Phriksos buraya varır. Kolkhis Kralı Aietes çaresiz çocuğa iyi davranır ve daha sonra onu kızı Khalkiope ile evlendirir. Khalkiope ile Phriksos'un Kytisoros, Phrontis, Melanion, Argeus adı verilen 4 çocukları olur.[1]
