I am applying for OPT (1 year of employment for foreign students to USA) extremely late as I was unsure whether I would pass a certain class this semester which is my graduating semester. Cancelling an OPT because I'm not graduating would be a problem. I am applying for OPT this week.
Issue is that my job's start date is in 60 days, while OPT usually takes 90 days to process. How bad is it to push my start date dependent on receipt of an EAD (employment authorization from the OPT)?
I did an internship with this large company last summer, and I was planning on resuming full-time this summer but this presents a big issue.

The only way to know is to clarify the situation with the employer directly.
