დღე-ღამე — დედამიწის ღერძული ბრუნვის პერიოდი; დროის ერთ-ერთი ძირითადი საზომი ერთეული. გამოიყოფა ვარსკვლავიერი დღე-ღამე — გაზაფხულის ბუნიობის წერტილის მიმართ დედამიწის ბრუნვის პერიოდი და მზისიერი დღე-ღამე. ვარსკვლავიერი დღე-ღამის დასაწყისად ითვლება გაზაფხულის ბუნიობის წერტილის ზედა კულმინაციის მომენტი (კულმინაცია ცის სხეულისა), ხოლო ხანგრძლივობად — ამ წერტილის ორ თანამიმდევრულ ზედა კულმინაციას შორის დროის შუალედი. იმის მიხედვით, ჭეშმარიტი გაზაფხულის ბუნიობის წერტილს იხილავენ, თუ საშუალოს (პირველ შემთხვევაში ითვალისწინებს პრეცესიისა და ნუტაციის გავლენას, მეორეში — მხოლოდ პრეცესიისას), განასხვავებენ ჭეშმარიტ და საშუალო ვარსკვლავიერ დღე-ღამეს. პირველი მათგანის ხანგრძლივობა ცვალებადია. ასევე განასხვავებენ ჭეშმარიტ მზისიერ დღე-ღამეს (ჭეშმარიტი მზის ორ თანამიმდევრულ ზედა კულმინაციას შორის დროის შუალედი), რომლის დასაწყისად ითვლება ჭეშმარიტი მზის დისკოს ცენტრის ქვედა კულმინაციის მომენტი — ჭეშმარიტი შუაღამე, და საშუალო მზისიერ დღე-რამეს (საშუალო მზის ანალოგიურ კულმინაციათა შორის დროის შუალედი; მის დასაწყისად ითვლება საშუალო მზის ქვედა კულმინაციის მომენტი — საშუალო შუაღამე). ვარსკვლავიერი და საშუალო მზისიერი დღე-ღამე იყოფა საათებად (24 სთ), წუთებად (1440 წთ) და წამებად (86400 წმ). ვარსკვლავიერი დღე-ღამის ერთეული (დღე-ღამე, წუთი ან წამი) საშუალო მზისიერი დღე-ღამის 0,9972696 ერთულს უდრის. ჭეშმარიტი და საშუალო მზისიერი დღე-ღამეების ხანგრძლიობათა სხვაობა წლის განმავლობაში იცვლება პირველი მათგანის ცვალებადობის გამო (იხილეთ საშუალო მზისიერი დრო). ეს ხანგრძლიობანი ერთმანეთთან დაკავშირებულია დროის სწორებით.
