So I've been looking to change jobs for around 6 moths now (staying within the same field), because I'm already comfortable and stable where I currently work, I get to be really picky with the options I make.
Around 2 - 3 months ago Company-I contacted me with a job offer (initially not enough money and i rejected it, a few weeks after they came with an offer that meant a 40% increase of my current salary) it's a normal in office job with a standard 9-5 schedule, besides the money (which is good and kind of needed) there is no bigger incentive to go there.
At the same time all that was going on with Company-I, another company, let's call it Company-N, a contracting firm, reached out to me with a fully remote working opportunity (means an increase of 250% of my current salary), they said their process takes quite a bit of time to get everything setup, but after everything is setup, I would work for them for around a year and after that, if everything goes smooth, I would be offered a contract directly with the client, I've had two technical assignments with them and I'm waiting for further feedback (the last assignment happened last Friday), I'm interested in this opportunity because so far they have done a good work keeping me updated on the status of the process and for what I care, really transparent (they said the initial client they had backed off after negotiations started).
Now enters Company-P, which I know I applied to, but don't remember how long has it been, they offer a remote opportunity with 4 times my current salary, I would be working directly with them in their product with similar responsibilities of my current job, they sent a technical assignment last Friday and said they will give me feedback about it next week.
And last but not least, Company-C contacted me last Tuesday to setup a call with them and get to know each other, I know they offer remote work, I think is under contract, but because it's on a really early stage we haven't talked about compensation yet.
Now my dilemma is as follows, Company-I already sent me a contract (After I've postponed the signing for 3 weeks), I just need to sign it and I would start working with them in one week time, but because i have three other possibilities I don't know if I should sign with Company-I or pass on them and wait to see if something comes out of any of the other three possibilities, which are more to my liking(remote work FTW).
I've talked about it with some co-workers, friends and with my wife and most agree that I should sign with Company-I and if something pan out in any of the other three companies, to ditch Company-I and go with whatever, but I think it's highly unethical to start working with Company-I knowing that would ditch them in short-ish time if something better comes out.
So I would really appreciate your opinions in this matter.
