I'm trying to apply to a software company (Australia base) through online. And they gave me an assessment test. The assessment was composed of 4 categories, English grammar, data entry, content moderation, and English idioms. I was able to get high scores on English grammar, content moderation and English idioms at first but got 65% at data entry (maybe because I'm using mobile phone and I missed out some data).
The assessment exam (system) gave me another chance to retake the whole exam to passed, but after the second time I was able to pass data entry, but this time I got one mistake in English idiom that made my score below qualified. I sent an email to the company regarding the result and accepted my fate, but then I received an email asking me to take the same exam again to be qualified.
Now I'm confused, why would they asked me to retake the whole exam again which the questions are still identical during my first and second exam, thus this would give me more chance to answer the questions correctly. What is the reason behind that? I'm thinking the assessment exam doesn't really show the real skills of an applicant.
