WELCOME TO SEETO
South East Europe Transport Observatory (SEETO) is regional transport organization established by the Memorandum of Understanding for the development of the Core Regional Transport Network (MoU) signed on June 11th, 2004 by the Governments of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia and the United Nations Mission in Kosovo and the European Commission. The aim of the SEETO is to promote cooperation on the development of the main and ancillary infrastructure on the multimodal Indicative Extension of TEN-T Comprehensive Network to the Western Balkans and to enhance local capacity for the implementation of investment programmes as well as data collection and analysis on the Indicative Extension of TEN-T Comprehensive Network to the Western Balkans. The main objectives of the SEETO cooperation:
- Develop the Indicative Extension of TEN-T Comprehensive Network to the Western Balkans;
- Improve and harmonise regional transport policies and technical standards for the Indicative Extension of TEN-T Comprehensive Network to the Western Balkans development;
- Maintain an effective coordination and communication network; and
- Integrate the Indicative Extension of TEN-T Comprehensive Network to the Western Balkans in the framework of the wider Trans European Network.
