Bairds tapir (Tapirus bairdii) er et upartåede hovdyr som finnes fra det sørlige Mexico og sørover til Ecuador, vest av Andes. Den trives på våtmark og i regnskog og lavereliggende montane skoger. Bairds tapir er en av fire tapirarter. Tilsammen utgjør disse fire artene, som alle tilhører samme slekt, tapirfamilien (Tapiridae).


Bairds tapir skiller seg fra de andre tapirene gjennom sin mørk gråbrune farge med kremfargede markeringer. Blant annet er kinnene, halsen og øvre del av brystet kremfarget. Den blir omkring 200 cm lang og oppnå en vekt på cirka 226–272 kg[2], og er dermed den nest største av tapirene.
