When answered yes, will a large company nvestigate your exit and the ability to re-hire before moving on with an interview? I have been interviewed and received an offer contingent upon my preemployment screening which includes criminal background, employment verification and drug test.

"When answered yes, will a large company nvestigate your exit and the ability to re-hire before moving on with an interview?" - yes, they will investigate. But not always pre-interview. Sometimes it isn't done until an offer is made contingent. And if you answer No, a good background check will find out anyway.

So I'm assuming you did work for this company or affiliate? What were the circumstances on leaving? Are you eligible for re-hire?

I did answer yes and since my employment they have been acquired by another. Both are large companies and the preinterview process begins with their in-house recruiters. When the offer is made they use a third-party verifier. I am only asking because you truly never know if you are trying-hirable nothing major and good relations with mgt. but I wasn’t perfect:) the offer is a huge opportunity and the pre employment screening is agonizing. So my hopes is they wouldn’t have wasted months pre offer before they verified internally.

To answer your question. I did resign due to the fact that the company was considering shutting the office location. They allowed for the employees to pursue other jobs.
