I'm trying to come up with a list of business types where they require a significant amount of outsourcing to develop their product or service. By "significant" I mean almost 100%. I was able to come up with the following partial list:

  • Construction projects: A construction company that builds a building
will use outsourced providers to supply the building's frame,
    electrical, water, etc.

  • Aviation: I believe most of the parts that go
into building a commercial airplane are outsourced. Film industry:

  • Movies: Feature films are done by production companies but they often require
outsourcing to provide things like cameras, lighting, props, etc.

Can you think of other business types that use mostly outsourcing?
